We look forward to another great year of camp at WKYC in 2011. Our theme this year is "Do Not Fear". We will look at examples from the Bible showing where God and Jesus tells us "Do Not Fear". We will see how God is always there for us, and he is there to help us in any thing we may need.
If you enjoy being in the outdoors and spending a week with other Christians, then WKYC is the place for you. During the 8, 9, and 10 year old week, everything we do is for the camper, everything is for 8, 9, or 10 year olds. All of our classes, devotionals, and activities are geared for the camper. Come and spend a week with us as we learn more about God’s word, have fun in our activities, and meet new friends that will last a lifetime. All of our staff loves young people and they are ready to spend the week with you.
We usually have 8-10 campers per cabin, with five cabins of girls and 4 cabins of boys, with two counselors per cabin. We spend our mornings in Bible class and chapel. Our afternoons are filled with activities of whiffleball, kickball, crafts, swimming, hikes and war ball. Our evenings consist of Bible Bowls, water balloons, skits, Mad Myrtles, and other activities. The whole week is full of learning and fun, so make sure you come and join us.
Be sure you and your friends get your applications in early to reserve a bunk. Let me know if you have any concerns or questions. I will see you in July.
