Help Pave the Way to Build a Gazebo at WKYC!
WKYC is a conservative Christian based youth camp. It is where young Christians can further their education of the Bible. It is also a place where a new Christian can develop the skills needed to continue their walk with Jesus.
WKYC offers wonderful opportunities for young people to study the Bible and practice its precepts while participating in sports, games and interacting with other campers.
Over 1,000 young people are served each year by WKYC and its dedicated Christian volunteers.
To continue to improve the facilities at the camp, a group of Christian volunteers called "Sojourners" has agreed to build a beautiful gazebo on the camp property in the spring of 2011. The gazebo will provide a shady gathering spot for campers and can serve as a devotional area, class room or a place for prayer and meditation.
Although the "Sojourners" have volunteered the labor to build the gazebo, money is needed to purchase the quality materials required to build this lovely addition to the camp.
To raise money for the gazebo, we are selling personalized engraved bricks which will be used as a walkway to the gazebo. These engraved bricks show your support and love for WKYC for years to come. You will have 3 lines of 16 characters each to personalize your brick.
You may want to honor one of your favorites weekly camp directors from years gone by. You may want to use the brick to memorialize a loved one who has passed on. You may want to personalize it with your own name and include the years you attended WKYC. A youth group or senior group may want to purchase a brick and have their group name and congregation engraved on it. Please support this work either with direct contributions or with a personalized brick.
